EMD's second generation road switcher best represents the "modern look" locomotive with low nose and slanted eaves on the cab section. Supercharged and rated at 2,500 hp, it was ordered by many railroads and seen in service today. Over 1,300 were built from 1963 to 1966.
GP-35 Locomotive features:

  • Finely cut body and details, operating headlight.
  • Die cast frame, steel wheels operating couplers and a three-position electronic reverse unit with all AC hi-rail versions.
  • Efficient flywheel drive system.
  • Model is shipped with or without the dynamic brake blisters, depending on whether or not the railroad used this option or not.
  • Models are tested and shipped ready to run, however the modeler is to install horns, windows and railings.
  • Instructions are included.
